Dolomitic and calcitic grit are important additions in glass making. They are widely used in a variety of glass types like sheet and bottle glass.
The raw material from our dolomite and calcium carbonate products are available in the form of grits, MEL GRIT, with superior particle sizes and consistent quality.
MELGRIT aids in modifying the properties of glass to make it easier to melt. It also increases the chemical durability of the glass. Our products have minimum amounts of trace elements such as iron, chromium and cobalt which may be undesirable in the making of glass. Our products can also be used in the manufacture of fibre glass where applications are on the rise in day to day use.
